Hello...It's Been A While!!!

Image
I haven't written in such a long time, and I miss it. I have wanted to come back to writing for a while but I got caught up with my studies (I was studying Creative Writing and Literature on the Open University) and just with life in general.  I also, honestly, haven't really been sure what I wanted to write about, but I have decided I should just jump back into it and see what happens....especially now that I have done with my studies and not really sure what to do with myself.  Anyway, now that I am here and writing, let me re-introduce myself a little... 💕   My name is Johanna. I am 25, turning 26 in a couple weeks... Like I mentioned I have just finished with my studies with the Open University- which is an online university- where I studied Creative Writing and Literature. It was a lot of hard work, but I enjoyed it...some times more than others.. I also work part time, currently, in packaging...which is not the most exciting, and I am still trying to decided what I want

A Winters Day In My Life...☃️

It snowed for the first time of winter 2022 yesterday, Friday, and I awoke to a thick layer of snow, and the snow was still falling. I live on a hill and it was rather icy, and out of being scared for my life so early in the morning, I decided to take a slightly longer route across a field to get the bus.  I also decided to capture some of my day, so here is a "mini vlog" from my day yesterday!! Going in to work was defiantly an adventure... First I made my way across a field covered in a thick layer of snow, then I had to wait ages for the bus, then the bus got stuck in traffic, the bus in front broke down so there was a long hold up, saw two cars collide into each other, saw cars struggle on the roads, even some break downs... You'd think that after many years of snowy winters people would be much more prepared for the wintery weather. I ended up being very late for work but I can't say that life doesn't have it's adventures... no matter how small they may b

A List Of Some Of My Current Favourite Songs- From 2021

Image
I am currently just sitting in bed, eating M&Ms, and listening to music and I thought I would share some of my favourite songs from this year. I can't fully get my head round the fact that 2021 is almost at the end, but let's forget about that for the moment.... Here are the list of songs:  1) Anyone- Justin Bieber I think it is probably because of TikTok that I started listening to this song but it's popped up on the radio and popped up when I would be listening to music on YouTube... 2) Drivers License- Olivia Rodrigo  I actually love a lot of Olivia's songs but this is probably one of my favourites of hers... 3) Easy On Me- Adele  I have heard this song so many times, both at home in my room, and a lot at work...because they recently started having the radio on while we work.  4) Happier Than Ever - Billie Eilish  I am not a huge Billie fan but she is a good singer, and this song is kind of catchy especially from , "I don't relate to you..." I have

Hello 2021!! 🎉

2020 is over!! I feel like it was really long yet at the same time it sped by. I really hope I am not the only one that thinks that! It really has been a crazy, difficult and strange year that nobody expected and I am excited, yet also scared, to see what this year will hold. I really don't know what to expect for 2021, but I am excited for another year and see what this year will bring.  For New Year's Eve, my family and I didn't really do much. We had a lazy evening, and didn't really celebrate. We did stay up and welcome the new year in, but then that really wasn't anything different from any other night. We are kind of a family of night owls...especially me. I was awake until about three in the morning. I had a couple of snacks and watched The Devil Wears Prada, and some YouTube videos. I also messaged a couple of my friends until the early hours of the morning! Then woke up around one in the afternoon!! Not the best thing to do..but it was defiantly fun!! How

My December Favourites

Image
I thought I would share some of my favourites from this month.... TV Show: I always go back and re-watch FRIENDS, and  I really got into Rick and Morty (after starting to watch it with my boyfriend).  Book: I have been finding it really difficult to get into books recently. I also find it really hard to read multiple books at the same time and as I am studying Literature this year on The Open University and have to read books for that I haven't  really been reading any other books but last time I was at my boyfriend's place he had to go out for a couple hours and when he was out I started reading "Finding Audrey"  by Sophie Kinsella and got really into it. I read the whole book in 3 days, which is the fastest I've read a book in ages.  I have also been into the Popshot magazine, which is a magazine of short stories and poetry. I love reading the stories from those...even though they don't count as books.  Film: I have watched a number of movies this month, s

I Hope You All Had A Good Christmas... 🎄

Image
I hope you all had a good Christmas, even though I am sure things were very different this year than it has been for previous years.  My Christmas Day consisted of a lot of delicious food, made by my mum, sister and brother in law, Christmas songs played on full volume, a lot of excitement from my little niece, card games, and trying to watch a movie which didn't go very well... And we all ate so much chocolate. We still have so much chocolate left. I think we will have enough chocolate for many weeks to come. We didn't have a snowy Christmas Day, but I hear that there is meant to be snow over the following days. I just hope there won't be tons of snow when I go back to work because I don't fancy walking through the snow or along the icy roads.  And this was our homemade Christmas Pudding, made by my mum, which we ended our evening with. It was delicious!!  Hmmm...thinking about it now, I really want some more!!            ⛄ Oh, and this year, when it comes to Christma

A "Little" Christmas Haul 🛍️- Countdown To Christmas

Image
I love shopping. Maybe I love it a little too much. I thought I would share some of the things I have brought recently, maybe it will help you find some last minute gifts for your friends and family for Christmas, or maybe a gift for yourself. Anyway, let's just get started with my "little" haul...  My two loves: Starbucks & Shopping.   The Body Shop: Lush: -I really shouldn't have done this over my bed. The first one was so glittery and it got on my cover and all over my hands...- H&M: The red and white socks are so fluffy, I love them! I also got a couple sweaters- a yellow one (which I have worn a couple times already), a blue one and a fluffy one... Flying Tiger:  I love this mug so much. I have used it a couple times already. I love big mugs like this. It could be used for hot drinks, obviously, but also could be used as a bowl. It's the perfect mug!! Other small things I got: - Face masks  -Lip Gloss  -Hand Cream -Hot Chocolate Spoons, and just choc
